Getting started
Set up your studio and send your first review.
Review Studio lets your clients comment on a live website (or an image) from one link, with no login. You see every comment as a to-do list, send rounds, and get a signed approval at the end.
Set up your studio
- Open your studio address. The first visit shows Set up Review Studio.
- Enter your email, your name and a password. On a hosted studio you also need the setup code from the server settings.
- Press Create studio. You're the owner.
Next, if you can: set up email (Settings → Integrations → Email) so clients get "your changes are ready" emails and you hear when feedback arrives. Without email everything still works; you copy and send links yourself.
Your first review
- On the board, press New review.
- Choose Website (a live site) or Image (a still, a crop or a moodboard).
- Add a review name and the client.
- For a website, paste the site URL. If the site is private, add its password. For Squarespace this is the site password. Other sites can use HTTP basic auth.
- Optional: under Admin link and note, add the site's admin link (for example the Squarespace
/configpage) and a note for reviewers. - Press Create review.
Share it
Open the review, then Share this review to copy the link. Send it to your client however you like.
To let the studio email them for you, open Project details and add the client email. You can also set Rounds included there (0 means unlimited).
What your client does
They open the link, press Comment, click a spot, write, and press Send my feedback when they're done. They can switch to the phone size and attach files. Send them How to review a website if they'd like a guide.
What you do next
- New comments show in the review and in your Inbox.
- Set a status on each comment (To do, Question, Fixed, Won't do, New request).
- When you're done, press Ready for review to start the next round.
See Rounds and sign-off for the full workflow.
