The extension lets your team comment on a client's live website without opening the studio first. Comments land in the matching review, pinned exactly as if you'd added them in the studio.

It's for your team only. Client review links don't change, and clients don't need it.

It works in Chrome, Edge, Arc, Brave and Firefox. Safari isn't supported.

Get it

An owner or admin downloads it from Settings → Integrations → Browser extension: one download for Chrome, Edge, Arc and Brave, and one for Firefox. Share the zip with your team.

If the card says the packages aren't built yet, whoever runs the server needs to run npm run ext:build.

Install it (unpacked)

Chrome, Edge, Arc, Brave

  1. Unzip the download.
  2. Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions).
  3. Turn on Developer mode.
  4. Choose Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.

Firefox

  1. Open about:debugging, then This Firefox.
  2. Choose Load Temporary Add-on and pick manifest.json from the unzipped folder.

Firefox removes temporary add-ons when it restarts, so you'll need to load it again after a restart.

The extension's options page opens the first time you use it.

  1. Enter your studio address.
  2. Choose Sign in to Review Studio and sign in with your studio email and password.

The extension only gets access to what it needs to post comments. Sign out in the options page disconnects it.

Comment on the live site

  1. Open the client's live site in your browser.
  2. Click the extension's toolbar button, or press Alt+Shift+C.
  3. Click the element you want to talk about and write your comment.

The extension finds the review whose site matches the page you're on. The comment gets the same page, position and screen size as a studio comment, and a screenshot is saved as usual.

The extension only runs on a tab when you click it. It can't read other sites.
