Squarespace has no staging. When I change a live site with lots of daily visitors, I need the client to review and approve before it goes live. A clear step-by-step guide for doing that with Review Studio would help.
Before I commit my client work to a tool, I want to know I can leave with it. One download with every review, comment, reply, file and approval record would make me trust it.
I'd like the review page and emails to show only my studio's logo and colours, ideally on my own domain. My clients should feel they're in my process, not someone else's tool.
Half my team designs on Macs and uses Safari every day. The extension works in Chrome and Firefox, but we'd rather not switch browsers just to leave a comment on a live site.
Some pages on my Squarespace sites are behind member areas, so the review can't reach them. A small snippet I paste into Code Injection that lets the client comment directly on the real page would cover those cases.
When a client says 'it was better before', I want to show round 1 and round 3 next to each other. Right now I dig through screenshots. A before and after view per page would end those debates quickly.
Most of my clients' visitors are on phones, but clients open the link on their laptop and only look at desktop until the approval step reminds them. An option to open the review on the mobile size first would make mobile the default, not the afterthought.
Some of my clients are on a care plan. After launch I want to keep one link open per site where they can pin change requests whenever something comes up, instead of a one-off review. Each request should be easy to quote or include in their hours.
I set a 'feedback by' date on every round, and then I'm the one chasing. A gentle automatic reminder the day before and the day after would save me awkward emails. Some agencies even auto-approve after a set time.
The approval record page is great, and I can print it to PDF myself. But I'd like the PDF attached to the approval email automatically, so it's filed with the project without me remembering to save it. It's the thing I point to when scope creep starts.
Our team lives in ClickUp. If review comments don't show up there as tasks, they become another place to check and things get missed. A one-way push of each comment (with the screenshot and link back) would be enough.
My clients will open a link once, but follow-ups always come back by email. If they could just reply to the notification email and have it land on the right comment, they'd never have to use the tool for small back-and-forth.
A lot of my clients explain things better out loud than in writing. I'd love them to press record on a pin and just talk, instead of typing a paragraph or sending me a separate Loom. Right now feedback ends up split between the review and a pile of videos.
