Do my clients need an account?

No. They open the link, and that's it. No login, no install. They can add their name so you know who wrote what.

Can clients see my Squarespace password?

No. It stays encrypted on your server and isn't part of the link. See the Squarespace guide.

Does it work with sites that aren't Squarespace?

Yes. Any public http or https website works, and private sites can use a site password or HTTP basic auth. Squarespace is what it's tuned for. A site whose scripts only run on their own address can misbehave in the review.

Can I review an image instead of a website?

Yes. Choose Image when you create a review: a still, a crop or a moodboard (PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 20 MB). Image reviews have rounds too, and you can upload a new image with each round.

Which screen sizes are there?

Desktop and mobile, with tablet under More sizes. Squarespace only has desktop and mobile layouts, so those come first.

Can a client approve without looking at mobile?

No. For a website, Approve switches to the mobile size first if they haven't looked at it this round.

What counts as an extra request?

Anything commented after an approval is marked New request automatically. You can also mark any comment as a new request yourself (key N).

Can I hide a comment from the client?

Yes. Internal notes are only visible to your team.

Is there video or voice feedback?

Not yet. Clients can attach MP4 or MOV files to a comment. Voice notes on a pin are on our list.

Do I need Cloudflare R2?

No. Files stay on your server unless you choose to move them. See Storage.

Can my team comment from the live site?

Yes, with the browser extension in Chrome, Edge, Arc, Brave or Firefox.

How do I report a problem or suggest something?

Use Report a problem in the account menu, or post on our feedback board.
